Chat Heads Anywhere On Your iPhone With MessageBox

MessageBo

Today I’m going to talk about a new and exciting jailbreak tweak called MessageBox. The tweak allows you to enable Facebook’s new Chat Head feature system-wide.

If you’ve been around jailbreaking for any length of time, you probably weren’t surprised to see Chat Heads appear on iOS within such a short period of time. It was even less surprising when I heard who was actually behind the tweak — Adam Bell. Adam is an excellent developer and designer, and he’s come up with some of the community’s most innovative releases. Continue reading

Zeusmos – The Installous Alternative

Zeus

One of the draws of jailbreaking was always the ability to try apps before you buy them. After all, if you’re going to spend $10 on something, you want to be sure you’re getting your money’s worth. Well, as you may or may not know, Installous was shut down some time ago. However, that does not mean the end of the “try before you buy” movement. Let me introduce you to Zeusmos.

Zeusmos is a great deal like Installous in that it lets you download and install apps so that you can try them. Getting Zeusmos is just as easy as getting nearly any other jailbreak app. Here are the steps:

  1. Open Cydia store and go to Manage—>Sources.
  2. Now tap on ‘Edit’ then add the following repo to Cydia: ihacksrepo.com and then tap on Add Source.
  3. Now search for ‘Zeusmose’ on Cydia and download it..
  4. That’s it, now and after you restart Springboard you should see Zeusmos app available at your iPhone Springboard.

jLauncher Reimagines iOS Multitasking

A new jailbreak tweak on the scene is called jLauncher and it dramatically reimagines what iOS multitasking can be. While the original iOS multitasking allows the user to quickly swap between programs, jLauncher adds a clock, music, sound, and brightness controls all to one page.

After downloading the program from Cydia, the user is able to assign an Activator action to jLauncher. This can be as easy as a double-press or triple-press of the home button, a swipe left on the status bar, or anything the user chooses.

Once opened, jLauncher occupies the screen. Open apps are displayed on the right, the clock at the top, and music, sound, and brightness controls beneath that. Very convenient.

However, as of now, it is not possible to enter “wiggly mode” from jLauncher. While this is a minor drawback, I would imagine it’s only a matter of time before the developer adds this feature.

jLauncher is available now in the Cydia Store for $1.99, via the BigBoss repository.

Supercharge the iPhone/iPad springboard with DashboardX

Dashboard widgets are a feature that Android has enjoyed for a while. And why not? They’re a great idea, and they add tremendous functionality to the screen. DashboardX is a jailbreak tweak that bring this functionality to your iOS device. In fact, DashboardX allows you to use your Notification Center widgets either on a separate dashboard, or on the home screen among your application icons to brighten up the boring home screen. Review of iKeyGuard – A feature-rich keylogger and monitor for iOS

iKeyGuard is a jailbreak only program that allows for key logging on the iPhone. While most people typically don’t think of security when they pick up a smartphone, this app should give you pause and make you think twice before using an iPhone. If you’ve ever wondered whether or not there is a keylogger for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, now you know that there is.

For those of you who actually don’t know what a keylogger is: Keyloggers are programs that run in the background on your computer and tap anything and everything that is ever typed on your machine and document it in the form of a log. Continue reading
